Caffeine, Beneficial or Toxic?


Caffeine is a type of alkaloid found naturally in coffee beans, tea leaves, leaves of cashew, kola seeds, cocoa beans, and some beverages. Caffeine has a molecular weight of 194.19 with a chemical formula C8H10N8O2 and pH 9.6 (1% caffeine solution in water). Scientifically, the direct effect of caffeine on health is not actually exist, but that there is no immediate effects such as stimulating the respiratory and heart, and give side effects such as anxiety (neuroses), could not sleep (insomnia), and heart rate did not uniform ( tachycardia).
